mgbright

PHP script for Linux for automatically setting of screen brightness

Imprint/Impressum

Attention This script may harm your computer or connected devices! Use it at your own risk!

mgbright allows you to change the screen brightness using a connected webcam. The PHP script directly accesses Linux system files to set the wanted brightness.

But before you may lean back, you have to start mgbright. This is quite simple:

sudo php -f mgbright.php

(if mgbright.php is mgbright's file name; make sure PHP is installed)

After executing this command, your screen brightness will change immediately. If not, please read the console output carefully. This might help you. mgbright is for Linux only.

Despite of its usable state, this script is experimental. Everything you do is on your own risk.
